This status means Google found your URL (usually via sitemap) but deprioritised crawling it. The most common causes are orphan pages with no internal links, thin content Google considers low-value, or crawl budget being exhausted by parameterised URLs. Fix internal linking first, then audit the page for quality signals.

A manual action requires you to fix the root violation completely, document your cleanup work, and submit a reconsideration request through Google Search Console. Partial cleanups are rejected. For link-based penalties, you must attempt outreach to remove toxic links before disavowing the rest.

Core Web Vitals — LCP, CLS, and INP — are real-user performance metrics that Google uses as a ranking signal via the Page Experience update. A 'Poor' LCP (over 4s) or high CLS (above 0.25) can suppress pages that would otherwise rank. The fixes are specific and technical: fetchpriority hints, explicit image dimensions, and breaking up long JS tasks.

Google doesn't penalise duplicate content directly, but it does have to choose one canonical version to rank. If it picks the wrong one — or splits its ranking signals across multiple near-identical URLs — your intended pages rank lower or not at all. The fix is canonical tags, 301 redirects, and eliminating parameter-driven URL sprawl.

Only in two situations: you have an active manual action notification for 'unnatural links to your site', or you have clear evidence of a negative SEO attack targeting your domain. Outside these cases, Google's Penguin algorithm handles low-quality links algorithmically. Disavowing legitimate links by mistake can hurt your authority.
